OPPO has expanded its popular A series with the introduction of the OPPO A80, which has just debuted in the Netherlands. However, the OPPO A80 isn’t entirely new—it’s a rebranded version of the OPPO A3 Pro that was launched in India two months ago. Despite this, the A80 brings a stylish design and solid specifications that are worth highlighting.
The OPPO A80 boasts a sleek and modern design, featuring narrow bezels around the display, with only a slightly wider chin. The back panel houses a rectangular camera module with three rings for two sensors and an LED flash. At just 7.68 mm thick and weighing 186 grams, the A80 is both slim and lightweight.
The phone is equipped with a 6.67-inch LCD display that offers a resolution of 1604 × 720 pixels and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. The screen also supports a 120Hz touch sampling rate and can reach a brightness of up to 1000 nits. For added durability, the display is protected by double-tempered Panda Glass.
Under the hood, the OPPO A80 is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset, built on a 6nm process with a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. This combination ensures smooth performance for everyday tasks. The device comes with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, along with 8GB of virtual RAM for enhanced multitasking. Connectivity options include 5G SA/NSA, dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4 GHz/5 GHz), Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, QZSS, USB-C, and a 3.5mm audio jack. The fingerprint sensor is conveniently located on the side of the phone, and the device is IP54 certified for dust and splash resistance.
The OPPO A80 is powered by a 5100 mAh battery, which supports 45W fast charging, ensuring that you can quickly top up your phone when needed. The device runs on Android 14 with OPPO’s ColorOS 14 skin on top, offering a smooth and customizable user experience.
The OPPO A80 features a dual-camera setup on the rear, with a 50MP primary sensor (f/1.8 aperture) and a 2MP depth sensor (f/2.4 aperture) for capturing portrait shots. On the front, there’s an 8MP camera (f/2.0 aperture) for selfies and video calls.
The OPPO A80 is now available in the Netherlands in a sleek Starry Black color. It’s priced at €299, making it an affordable option for those looking for a stylish phone with reliable performance.
