Honor Magic V3: Specs, Features, and Global Launch Details

Honor is known for its lineup of slim and lightweight foldable phones. Typically, these devices are first launched in China, followed by a global release. However, the global release of the Honor Magic V2 was delayed by almost six months. Fortunately, the Honor Magic V3, which made its debut in China last month, is expected to reach global markets much sooner.

Honor has already confirmed its presence at the IFA 2024 event in Berlin. The official website invites fans to the launch of the Honor Magic V3 foldable phone and the Magic Pad 2 tablet. This much-anticipated event will take place on September 5 at 2:00 PM. As the global release approaches, here's a quick overview of the Honor Magic V3's specifications.

The Honor Magic V3 stands out as the thinnest foldable phone available today. When folded, it measures just 9.2 mm thick, and when unfolded, it's only 4.35 mm. Despite its slim profile, it weighs 226 grams and houses a robust 5,150 mAh battery that supports 66W fast wired charging and 50W wireless charging. The device also features IPX8 water resistance and is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen3 processor, ensuring top-tier performance.

The Honor Magic V3 boasts an external OLED display with a 6.43-inch diagonal and a resolution of 2376 × 1060 pixels. The internal OLED display is even larger, at 7.92 inches, with a resolution of 2344 × 2156 pixels and a smooth 120 Hz refresh rate. For photography enthusiasts, the Magic V3 offers an impressive camera setup. It includes two 20 MP front cameras and a versatile triple-lens main camera with a 50 MP primary lens, a 40 MP ultra-wide lens, and a 50 MP telephoto lens.

Regarding storage and memory options, the Chinese market currently offers three configurations: 12GB RAM with 256GB storage, 16GB RAM with 512GB storage, and a top-tier variant featuring 16GB RAM with 1TB storage. It's yet to be seen which versions will be available globally.
