The Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 Lite has just received its third, and possibly final, OS update. Launched in mid-2021 with Android 11, the budget-friendly tablet now gets the Android 14-based One UI 6.1 update, marking its latest software upgrade in South Korea.
The new update comes with firmware version T225NKOU8EXH2 and includes the July 2024 security patch. It also brings several new features intrinsic to Android 14 and Samsung's One UI 6.1.
Although the Galaxy Tab A7 Lite is a budget device, it’s notable that it has received three major OS updates. The tablet was initially launched with Android 11 and previously received updates to Android 12 and Android 13, with One UI 6.0 being rolled out earlier this year.
While the update is currently rolling out in South Korea, it’s expected to reach other regions soon. However, due to its low-priority status, the Galaxy Tab A7 Lite is slightly behind other Samsung devices, some of which are already on One UI 6.1.1.
If you own a Galaxy Tab A7 Lite, keep an eye out for the update notification as it should arrive in your region in the coming weeks.
