Last month, we got our first look at the upcoming HMD Hyper through a leaked spec sheet and a render of the device in a striking yellow color. Now, thanks to the reliable source @smashx_60 on X.com, we've got additional renders showcasing the device in its four official colors, along with some new spec details.
The HMD Hyper is positioned as the successor to the Nokia X30, which was launched in 2022. However, its design aligns more closely with the more recent HMD Skyline series, featuring a blend of curved lines and sharp corners. Alongside the previously leaked yellow variant, the device will also be available in teal, red, and grey, offering a range of options for users.
The leak suggests that the HMD Hyper will boast a metal frame and a glass back, adding to its premium feel and durability.
The HMD Hyper is expected to sport a 6.55-inch OLED screen with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. A new highlight is its 50MP front-facing camera with autofocus, capable of FHD video recording, making it ideal for high-quality selfies and video calls.
Under the hood, the device is tipped to feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset, paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, which can be expanded for extra space.
On the rear, the HMD Hyper is rumored to house a triple camera setup, including a 50MP main sensor with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), a 13MP telephoto lens, and an 8MP ultrawide lens. This setup is expected to deliver versatile and high-quality photography experiences.
The device will likely come with a 4,700 mAh battery supporting 33W fast charging. Additional features include IP54 ingress protection, stereo speakers, Bluetooth 5.2, Wi-Fi 5, and NFC connectivity.
Stay tuned for more updates as we approach the official launch!
