iPhone SE 4 with OLED Display and A18 Chip Will Arrive in Early 2025

The next iPhone SE, also known as the iPhone SE 4 or iPhone SE 2025, has been anticipated since 2022, shortly after the release of the iPhone SE 3. According to recent reports from Digitimes, Apple is sourcing OLED displays for this new model, marking a significant upgrade from the previous SE models that used LCD screens.

iPhone SE 2025: OLED Display Upgrade

As reported by 9to5Mac, the iPhone SE 2025 is expected to feature a 6.1-inch OLED Super Retina XDR display with a resolution of 460 pixels per inch (ppi), similar to the iPhone 14. This upgrade will offer users brighter visuals, more vivid colors, and deeper blacks, significantly enhancing the display experience over previous iPhone SE models.

An Affordable iPhone for 2025

The iPhone SE 4 will be powered by Apple's latest A18 chip, the same processor used in the iPhone 16 series. Built on a 3-nanometer process, this chip promises faster performance and improved energy efficiency, ensuring smoother handling of apps, games, and multitasking while conserving battery life.

Apple’s Own Modem Technology

Another notable change is Apple's decision to transition from using Qualcomm modems to its own modem technology in the iPhone SE 2025. This shift allows Apple more control over the device's connectivity and performance, making it the first iPhone SE model to feature Apple’s in-house modem.

Camera Upgrades

In terms of photography, the iPhone SE 2025 is rumored to come with a 48-megapixel rear camera and a 12-megapixel front camera, borrowed from the iPhone 15.
