The Honor brand has solidified its place as a major player in the smartphone market, known for delivering a wide range of devices across all segments. One of its popular series is the X lineup. Following the success of last year’s X50 series, the company is already working on the next iteration—the Honor X60 series, and tipsters are buzzing with anticipation.
If Honor sticks to its usual release pattern, we can expect multiple models in the X60 lineup, including the standard Honor X60, as well as the Honor X60 Pro and possibly a higher-end X60 GT. This mirrors the approach taken with last year’s X50 models. Early leaks about the standard X60 model have already surfaced on Chinese social media platform Weibo, giving us a glimpse of what to expect.
Two images of the upcoming Honor X60 have been spotted on Weibo, showcasing the phone’s illuminated display. In terms of design, it appears the X60 will feature a flat display, which marks a departure from the curved screens of its predecessor. At the top center of the display, there’s a punch-hole cutout for the front-facing camera.
The Honor X60 is rumored to come with a 6.8-inch FullHD+ display boasting a 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the device will reportedly be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7025 chipset. For comparison, last year’s X50 model used Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen1 processor. While Snapdragon chips are typically viewed as superior, the Dimensity 7025 offers higher clock speeds, which could give it a performance edge in real-world usage.
The device is expected to come with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, running on Android 14 with Honor’s custom Magic OS 8 skin on top.
When it comes to cameras, the Honor X60 is rumored to sport a 108 MP primary camera with an aperture of f/1.75. Details about the additional sensors are still under wraps. The front-facing camera is expected to have an 8 MP sensor with an aperture of f/2.0.
The phone is set to pack a hefty 5800 mAh battery that supports 35W fast charging. Despite the large battery, the device remains slim at just 8mm thick and weighs only 189 grams, ensuring a comfortable feel in hand.
The Honor X60 series is shaping up to be an exciting addition to the Honor lineup, offering impressive specs and performance for both casual and power users alike. Stay tuned for more updates!
