iQOO is preparing to launch a new smartphone for its iQOO Z series. After launching new flagship competitors in the form of IQOO 8 and iQOO 8 Pro, the company is now targeting the mid-range market. According to Moniker, the company will launch the iQOO Z5 as a successor to the iQOO Z3.Note that "Z4" is omitted due to this number associated with China's misfortune. The new handset is set to launch in China on September 23 and is expected to hit the Indian market fast. After many reports and speculations, the Chinese brand has now confirmed that the iQOO Z5 will arrive in India on September 27 local time. The new mobile phone is an expensive mid-range smartphone priced at Rs 30,000 and around $ 410.
The Indian branch of the company has already sent out invitations to the event on September 27th. It gives a view of the iQOO Z5 design. The back panel of the device has a blue tint and features a 64 MP three-camera setup. There is a volume rocker and a power button on the side of the device. It is likely to double as a fingerprint scanner. It's amazing to see how the IQOO Z5 goes to India in the same month as the Chinese launch. However, it took a few months for the iQOO Z3 to get a global release. As far as the global release is concerned, the device is expected to hit Europe and other markets sometime shortly after the Indian release in mid-October.
iQOO is building a passion for mobile phones and revealed the color variants of the mobile phone yesterday. Interestingly, as suggested by previous rumors, we can expect three versions of the iQOO Z5 - Vanilla, Pro and Z5. Unfortunately, the company did not specify which one is in the photo below. According to GSMArena, the blue variant may be the normal unit.
The specifications of these three variants have not been officially confirmed. However, we already know that Vanilla has Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G SoC, LPDDR5 RAM, UFS 3.1 storage. The device also comes with a 120 Hz punch hole display, stereo speakers and high-res audio and high-res audio wireless support.
The device is powered by a 5,000 mAh battery and is expected to charge at least 55W. On the software front, the Z5 Series often comes with FunchoOS 12, and despite the proposed name, there is an underlying Android 11 version.
