The Nothing phone is probably no longer just science fiction

Startup company Nothing is the child of one of the founders of OnePlus , Carla Pei. He left OnePlus this year and immediately founded a new company Nothing. He also got a very solid investment in it from big names in the technology world, so big things were expected. However, the company had a slower start and so far we have only received the August TWS Ear headphones (1) from them. These are definitely interesting and offered ANC technology for a decent price, but crazy fans are just waiting for more. And maybe they'll see it soon, because the Nothing phone doesn't seem to be just science fiction on the horizon anymore.

The company recently announced another injection of $ 50 million from investors to research and develop new products. In addition, they added official cooperation with Qualcomm, so the insiders were already clear. Everything was confirmed today by the well-known Indian "leakster" Mukhul Sharma, according to whom Nothing is really starting to prepare his own mobile phone. He should reportedly see the light of day sometime in the first months of 2022, so this is a relatively gallows term. Especially for a new startup without a large background. But maybe working with Qualcomm will be deeper than it seems.

The name Nothing Phone is offered directly for the phone itself, but no further details about it have yet been released. In addition to a clear processor from Qualcomm, there may be speculation about the design theme of this novelty. Already with the Ear (1) headphones, the company showed a fascination with transparent materials and it could be similar on the phone. In addition, it is not the only product of the brand that is being worked on. The preparation of the Nothing Power (1) power bank or smart speaker should be in the final stage.
