In the end, Snapdragon 898 may have a completely different name

We are only 15 days away from the introduction of the flagship Snapdragon 898 processor. Qualcomm is planning its technology summit on November 30 , at which it will present the new processor. However, the situation around the upcoming chipset got a little messy. It will definitely go on the market, but it is possible that the manufacturer will give it a completely different name. The code name "sm8450" remains the same, but the trade name changes.

The official name of sm8450 may be the new generation of Snapdragon 8 processor, Snapdragon 8 gen1.
So some of the previous content mentioned the new generation of Snapdragon 8 or Snapdragon 8 flagship processors, all refer to sm8450. See you next month~

Qualcomm said to have changed the naming scheme of their flagship processors and starts with him just Snapdragon 898. And to make matters worse, another tipper, this time Ice Universe, claims that it will also be renamed MediaTek. According to the tipper, the flagship chipset Dimensity 2000 is to be renamed Dimensity 9000. So the question remains whether Samsung will rename its Exynos 2200. And if the tipsters are not wrong, we will literally have a revolution in naming processors. But let's wait until both Qualcomm and MediaTek confirm these new business names for their flagship processors.
