Samsung fans (not only) today were looking forward to the introduction of the new Silicon Miracle, as the new Exynos 2200 chipset was to be introduced as the main course. So at least graphics performance should be ensured. Enthusiasts have already directly tapped on comparisons with competing products from Qualcomm or Mediatek, or even comparisons with apple processors. However, they will have to get a taste for everything, at least for a while, because the Korean company canceled the planned presentation today without much fuss.
The warning signal was the suspicious silence about the show itself in recent days. And Samsung even deleted all mentions of the planned launch of the Exynos 2xxx series from social networks. Everything was confirmed today by the renowned Chinese "leakster" Ice Universe on Twitter. He also immediately added news about the problematic development of Exynos during the past year. After all, he came a few days ago with an overwhelming critique of the performance of the Exynos 2200, which, according to his sources, will not be enough for the competition. That he was right and that Samsung decided to work on everything else?
But procrastination most likely won't improve performance as much. And the "jobs" are not over yet, because the allegedly unfortunate fate befell another of the developed processors, the Exynos 1200. It was originally supposed to be introduced in November and in the future it was considered as the basis for the Galaxy A53 or Galaxy M33. According to a Chinese expert, however, the entire project was essentially canceled, so not just postponed. The Samsung division responsible for Exynos chipsets is not really going through a happy time. So maybe we'll see at least the Exynos 2200 with AMD graphics…
