Red Magic 7 was tested on Geekbench

ZTE, or its sub-brand Nubia, is preparing to expand its gaming phone product line. Immediately after the release of the flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen1 processor, Nubia indicated that she was taking a liking to it and using it on her flagship machines. Earlier this month, we learned that the brand was working on a Red Magic 7 gaming machine that had already passed through the hands of Tenaa certifiers.

Thanks to the certification statement, we revealed some of its parameters, including the type of processor. But as we know, in its chipset listings, Tenaa only specifies the manufacturer, or the number of cores and their clock speed. From this data, we estimate which processor it is, but these are really only estimates. Today, however, the Geekbench test report confirmed to us what processor the Red Magic 7 phone really is.

The phone, like other certifications, has passed Geekbench tests codenamed NX679J. The processor with which Red Magic 7 was tested is called "taro", which is the designation for Snapdragon 8 Gen1. In addition, the division and thus the individual cores clearly shows this chipset. The operating memory is a huge 18 GB and the operating system is Android 12. The score is also quite high. In the single-core test, the phone gained 1219 points and in the multi-core test 3732 points. In addition to these specifications, which were revealed by the tests, we also expect extremely fast charging with a power of 165 W, which was confirmed by the 3C certification, and according to the Bluetooth SIG certification, we also expect support for Bluetooth 5.2. Tenaa states that the 6.8-inch OLED display has a resolution of 2400 × 1080 pixels and a total battery capacity of about 4500 mAh. These specifications indicate that it will be a really interesting gaming machine.
