In mid-December last year, China's Lenovo won the race for the fastest Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 phone model. an average camera that hasn't really shown much in the reviews available so far. Of course, the company is aware of the shortcomings and is working hard on an update that should take the Edge X30 back to the heights. At least in theory on paper.
This is claimed by at least one of the company's chief product managers, Chen Jin Chen, on the Weibo social network . According to him, a massive update is basically ready, which should bring radical changes and news. We should look forward to a completely overhauled algorithm for the main camera and also support for shooting video with a higher frame rate. In addition, there are other system improvements, such as "Privacy Space", probably similar to Xiaomi 's Second Space for the division of desktop and private desktop or applications on the phone. The update should then reach users before Chinese New Year, by the end of January.
At least the Moto Edge X30 attacks the competition with its price, because it is a very affordable piece in China. And of course it offers high-end parameters in most categories. In addition to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, there is a 6.7-inch OLED HDR10 + display with 144 Hz or 5000 mAh battery capacity with 68W charging. Even the rear camera paper doesn't look bad, 50 Mpx + 50 Mpx ultra-wide + 2 Mpx macro sensors, but the real performance doesn't dazzle. At least a 60 Mpx selfie camera is very decent. So hopefully the update will work.
