The Apple iPhone 14 is the most anticipated smartphone for 2022

A new study by Mozillion reveals which smartphone news people are most looking forward to, from the new Apple iPhone 14 to the latest Samsung Galaxy.

The survey revealed that the most anticipated smartphone of 2022 is the iPhone 14. The iPhone 14 series, which is likely to be launched in September 2022, as well as the iPhone 13 released in September 2021, has received more than 1 million global searches in the last year - more than double the next phone in the rankings (Samsung Galaxy S22 with 518,000 searches).

With millions of Apple smartphone users worldwide, it's no surprise that the Apple iPhone SE 3 came in third, with just over 285,000 worldwide searches last year. The iPhone SE 3 is an ideal alternative for those who may not want to wait for the new iPhone until the end of the year, with talk of its possible launch as early as March 2022.

The five most anticipated innovations end with the Chinese brands Vivo (model V23 received 195,700 worldwide searches) and Xiaomi (model Xiaomi 12 with 165,300 searches). Interestingly, the only folding phones in the top 20 are Oppo Find N and Pixel Fold from Google. Furthermore, the Finnish brand Nokia ranked ninth with the expected X50.

While the base iPhone 14 model is said to be relatively similar in appearance in terms of Model 13. The Pro, Pro Max models and the potential new model currently known as the iPhone 14 Max are likely to have a completely redesigned design. In addition to various camera and processing enhancements, it is intended to include a new cropping solution, marking the next step forward for Apple's flagship product.

Lenillion, founder of Mozillion, said: “Brands like Apple and Samsung are consistently popular with consumers, but it's great that our research has revealed demand for lesser-known brands like Xiaomi, Vivo and Oppo.

• Mozillion data engineers analyzed Google search volumes to reveal the upcoming phone models that people are most looking forward to when they are launched this year. 
• The most popular phone to be launched in 2022 is the Apple iPhone 14. This model has been searched for more than 1.1 million times in the last 12 months. 
• This is followed by the Samsung Galaxy S22 and Apple iPhone SE 3, which make up the three most anticipated phones released in 2022, each with more than 285,000 searches worldwide.
