There is probably no need to tell Xiaomi fans, and not only them, what a breakthrough in the wearability market was and are the Mi Band or Smart Band bracelets. These are some of the most popular fitness trackers available on the market. Of course, we are talking not only about the Chinese market, but also the global market.
In addition, the manufacturer improves them every year, so that each new generation offers users new features, a larger display and more practical controls. Currently, the biggest star in the wearable is the latest generation of the bracelet, the Mi Smart Band 6 model, which Xiaomi released last March / March, and after a few months, its version with NFC support also reached global markets . It therefore seems like it's time for a change and for a new generation of bracelets, the Xiaomi Smart Band 7.
It is likely that Xiaomi is already working on Xiaomi Smart Band 7 because the name of the bracelet and its code name appeared in the Zepp firmware. The very initial information about the Band 7 bracelet is shared on the Logger website by a tipper who calls himself Magical Unicorn. We can therefore find out that the code number of the tracker is L66 and model numbers M2129B1 and M2130B1. However, instead of a firmware snapshot, "Magic Unicorn" shared some of the specifications and features that Smart Band 7 can have.
ESTIMATED PARAMETERS XIAOMI SMART BAND 7
Of course, we're talking about the specifications found in the Zepp application code, so the final parameters may vary. But we will still look at them. Let's start with the display, which is larger or wider than in last year's Band 6 model, depending on the specified resolution. The Band 7 display therefore has a resolution of 192 × 490 pixels. For comparison, Band 6 has a resolution of 152 × 486 pixels at a 1.56-inch diagonal with a fineness of 326 ppi. The tipper estimates that the fineness of the display will be the same for Band 7.
He also believes that the bracelet will support Always On Display, will receive several variants of dials and a set of exercise modes. Another interesting feature is the built-in GPS, which we will not find in Xiaomi bracelets yet. Users must therefore rely on the location from the smartphone. It is possible that Xiaomi Smart Band 7 will also receive support from Glonass, Galileo and BeiDou.
An interesting feature is the Smart Alarm, which wakes you up to a light sleep phase 30 minutes before the set alarm. It is said that there are also modes for saving energy and extending battery life. It is possible that Band 7 will have the same battery life as Band 6, which will last up to 15 days. But what the tipper doesn't mention is NFC support. Anyway, this is only the first shot of specifications and features and it is likely that we will hear about the upcoming bracelet in the near future.
