Less than two weeks ago, specifically on February 24, the Chinese giant OPPO served us its flagship series Find X5. And especially the top model Find X5 Pro is a truly uncompromising phone with fantastic equipment. Possibly a slightly non-Christian price, but it is already a tax on progress. In addition to the version with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, we also received an announcement about fous cheaper variants of this phone with Dimensity 9000 . Unfortunately, the phone does not have some conveniences. For example, the MariUilicon X NPU chipset, 5-axis OIS, or Hasselblad color calibration are missing. But potential applicants do not have it easy. Because apparently the phone only targets the Chinese market.
TESTS OF BOTH VERSIONS OF OPPO FIND X5 PRO NICELY SIDE BY SIDE
But at least it shows us the power of the new flagship processor from Mediatek, because it is the first product that is actually available with the Dimensity 9000. And experts from the IT Home server have carefully tested both versions nicely side by side. testing took place in Antut's popular benchmark and a sufficient number of test cycles is a matter of course. The result is very flattering for the new Mediatek, because the chipset exceeded the magic limit of a million points. Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 also did not disappoint, as it is closely linked to the overall score. As expected, it has the upper hand in the graphics test, where the Adreno 730 still shows dominance over the Mali-G710 MC10.
But all other tests then go beyond the Dimensity 9000 and Mediatek once again proves the huge progress of their chips. Not so long ago, everyone laughed at even possible competitiveness in the high-end segment. And it didn't take long, and they're basically on par with Qualcomm. In addition, their solution clearly has the upper hand in theory and consumption, thanks to the better 4 nm TSMC process. But there's probably Qualcomm calling with the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus.
Dimensity already meets high expectations and we will be looking forward to its results with other phones from other brands. The price comparison of high-end chipsets is also based on news from Mediatek. We have no idea whether the forecasts of even the 30% difference in prices will be fulfilled, but it will be at least close.
