Redmi K50 and K50 Pro officially introduced
The new Redmi is finally here, as the company today introduced a pair of flagship models in the Chinese market. It will complement the Redmi K50 Gaming Edition series , which was shown to the public in February. The news is very well equipped and their prices are also set extremely popular. Unfortunately, it is important to keep in mind that they are currently only available in China , and global prices will no doubt look completely different. So let's first look at the tooth.
Both phones have the vast majority of this in common and differ basically only in the processor, charging speed and the main photo-sensor. They have, for example, the fantastic Samsung AMOLED displays with a 6.67-inch diagonal and a resolution of 3200 x 1440 pixels. It offers 120 Hz adaptable frequency, 1200 nits maximum brightness, DC dimming, Dolby Vision, AI HDR and much more. It is also covered by the new Gorilla Glass Victus protective glass. The dimensions of the phones are also completely identical with a thickness of 8.48 mm and a weight of 201 g.
PLENTY OF PERFORMANCE AND GREAT EQUIPMENT
The first difference can be found in the processor, where Redmi K50 bets on Dimensity 8100 and K50 Pro chooses Dimensity 9000 . In both cases, however, these are fantastic chipsets that have enough power for anything. You will also enjoy using LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 internal memory. The new completely dug VC Liquid cooling system then promises trouble-free temperature management. Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3 or stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos are a matter of course. The basic version has a larger 5500 mAh battery capacity, but can only charge 67W. This K50 Pro offers a 5000 mAh battery, but complete with 120W charging power. But wireless is missing on both models.
The main sensor on the rear cameras also differs. The lower version has only the older 48 Mpx Sony IMX582, so the real nut is then the higher with the 100 Mpx S5KHM2. However, both pieces have optical stabilization. Otherwise, the accompanying sensors are slightly disappointing, as we only get an 8 Mpx ultra-wide with a 119 ° angle and a 2 Mpx macro lens. Weakness. All that remains is to add a selfie sensor, which in both cases is a 20 Mpx Sony IMX596.
ATTRACTIVE CHINESE PRICES
Both Redmi K50 models will go on sale in China on March 22, and the prices are really great. The base version starts at $ 378 (8 + 128GB) and climbs to $ 441 (12 + 256GB). This will make the Redmi K50 Pro a little more expensive for $ 472 (8 + 128GB) and over several other memory variants it will get up to $ 630 (12 + 512GB). The phones offer four identical color variants - black, silver, green and rainbow. But so far, there is no idea about global availability.
