The Realme Pad Mini tablet will be introduced on April 4

Although the coronavirus pandemic has significantly helped the tablet market and overall sales, it is still a poor relative of the phones. But even so, almost every major brand has its own offer of at least one tablet, and Realme are no exception. Their debut Realme Pad was introduced at the end of last year and later reached Europe. Unfortunately, its availability is limited to certain countries, including the Czech Republic. But on April 4, the company is preparing an introduction to a new tablet model, the smaller Realme Pad Mini.

And on the website of Philippine retailers, this tablet has already appeared with complete specifications nicely before its release. So we can get an accurate picture of its equipment and parameters. With an 8.7-inch diagonal, this is really a "Mini" version of the tablet, because the original model was 10.4-inches. After all, the current Apple iPad Mini also has 8.3-inch displays. But the Realme Pad Mini will be more elongated than the apple model, because it should have a resolution of 1340 x 800 pixels. So there is no soft and sharp display, moreover, of course only IPS LCD.

SMALL BUT HANDY

On the other hand, the tablet is pleasantly compact with dimensions of 211.8 x 124.5 x 7.6 mm and 372 g weight. The performance is ensured by the Unisoc T616 processor, supplemented by 3 GB / 4 GB RAM and 32 GB / 64 GB internal memory. Even from these numbers, the rather low-end focus of the tablet is clear. The decently large 6400 mAh battery capacity can only charge 18W, but the tablets have never relied too much on fast-charging. From the first pictures, it also looks like we will lose the 3.5 mm audio jack. But at least we get a microSD slot to expand the internal memory.

The Realme Pad Mini is listed with Android 11, so we have to hope for a future update to at least Android 12. After all, Realme also struggled with the update of the original big Realme Pad. We also don't know the price, but in my opinion it can't be too high. The bigger brother cost 259 euros in Europe, so a smaller piece must be cheaper. Of course, we have no idea if he will ever visit Europe, and therefore us.
