The Poco X4 GT is being prepared for launch in India

About the middle of last month, we learned that the Poco brand is working on the Poco X4 GT phone. Thanks to this, the X4 series will be expanded, when this year's first model, the Poco X4 Pro 5G, made its debut at the MWC trade fair in Barcelona. It has been sold for some time in global markets and in India. The tippers have also revealed that the name of the new phone has been confirmed by the IMEI database and expected Poco to introduce the new machine soon.

That seems to be true, as Indian tipster Mukul Sharma says on Twitter that he found the Poco X4 GT on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) website. The code number of the phone is 22041216I, where the letter "I" at the end indicates that it is clearly an Indian variant. Recall that in the IMEI database, the phone appeared with the designation 22041216G, which is a global variant.

The Poco brand is famous for the fact that in the vast majority of cases it does not release its original phones, but redesigned Redmi or Xiaomi models. We can therefore expect that this machine is also rebranded. Sharma believes that the Poco X4 GT is redesignated the Xiaomi 12X. However, earlier tipsters claimed that it was a rebranded recently released Redmi Note 11T Pro phone . So at least they claimed the global version, codenamed 22041216G. There is a bit of confusion in this, but rebranding phones has been a big fashion lately and is far from just a Poco domain.

ESTIMATED SPECIFICATIONS OF THE POCO X4 GT 

Tipsters believe that the Poco X4 GT has a 6.6-inch LCD display with FullHD + resolution and a high refresh rate of 144 Hz. It can have a front 20 MPix camera and a triple main camera with a primary 48 MPix sensor, an 8 MPix wide angle lens and a 2 MPix sensor. The phone will probably get a Dimensity 8100 processor, which is increasingly used in mid-range phones. It will probably be supplemented by 6 GB or 8 GB of RAM and 128/256 GB of internal storage. The battery has a capacity of 5000 mAh and supports fast charging with a power of 67 W. The operating system is Android 12 with the MIUI 13 extension.
