Nothing Phone (1) has a confirmed Snapdragon 778G + processor
The Nothing brand, founded by Carl Pei after leaving OnePlus, has been talked about on the network for a long time. Even for so long that now all fans, even those who are just curious about the brand's first phone, have focused on the date of July 12th / July. This is the date when the Nothing Phone (1) will be launched . Although we know that it will not be a flagship, Pei is still preparing a very interesting middle class machine for us.
As for the specifications and design of the Nothing Phone (1), tipsters revealed something and Carl Pei and his team confirmed something. So we know that the design will be very fresh with a transparent back panel . The designers have focused on highlighting some of the components, such as the main camera module and the charging coil. For a greater effect, there are glowing LED strips around them. Pei also confirmed that the display is an OLED type with a diagonal of 6.55 inches, a resolution of 2400 × 1080 pixels and a refresh rate of 90 Hz.
Since Pei announced that the Nothing Phone (1) is not a flagship machine, but wants to offer the best of the mid-range, tipsters estimated that we will find Snapdragon 7 Gen1 at the processor post. It is a recently introduced mid-range processor with very decent specifications and therefore seemed to be a good choice. But tests on the benchmark platform indicated that the upcoming phone is powered by Qualcomm's chipset, but it is the Snapdragon 778G+. Carl Pei has now confirmed it.
To use the Snapdragon 778G+, he added that he didn't want to launch a new phone from a brand new brand with a high price and low profit margin. According to him, it would be a rather risky move. In addition, the Snapdragon 788G+ meets all the requirements that are typical for mid-range phones. It has decent performance and low power consumption. In addition, it also supports wireless and reverse charging. In addition, its price is favorable and will not increase the final price of the phone unnecessarily. That's why Pei claims it's tailor-made for their Nothing Phone (1). We'll see how these claims pan out in regular use.
