Red Magic 7S and Magic 7S Pro officially introduced
Long gone are the days when the gaming phone segment was very limited. Gradually, many manufacturers began to produce gaming machines, responding to the demand of mobile game fans. The Nubia brand has also created its Red Magic product line, in which it regularly releases quite interesting gaming phones. At the beginning of this year , the Red Magic 7 series models with the Snapdragon 8 Gen1 processor were launched, and now the manufacturer has added the Red Magic 7S and Magic 7S Pro models to them. Thanks to the Tenaa certification , we know about them that they are powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 processor. However, their other specifications are also at a decent level, so let's take a look at them.
In terms of appearance, the newly launched Red Magic 7S and 7S Pro phones do not deviate from the design line that we know from these gaming machines of previous generations. In this direction, the manufacturer is consistent and does not try to experiment with the appearance. In addition, the design of all models of the Red Magic series makes it clear that these are gaming machines. Both new phones have a front-facing camera below the display, which has increased the usable screen area. The bezels are narrow and symmetrical. The phones share some specifications and differ slightly in others.
In both cases, the display has a diagonal of 6.8 inches and is of the AMOLED type with a resolution of 2400 × 1080 pixels. Of particular interest is the refresh rate, which reached 165 Hz for the Red Magic 7S model, while "only" 120 Hz for the Pro model. The machine's screen supports 10-bit color depth, 100% DCI-P3 color gamut and DC dimming.
As mentioned, both the Red Magic 7S and the Magic 7S Pro are powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 processor. The standard model in the Dark Knight version has 8/12 GB of operating memory and 128/256 GB of internal storage for the processor, and in the Deuterium version it has 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of internal memory. The Red Magic 7S Pro has 12GB/256GB in the Dark Knight version. The transparent version of Deuterium has 12/16/18 GB of RAM, 256/512 GB and 1 TB of internal storage.
The battery in the first model has a capacity of 4500 mAh and in the second 5000 mAh. In the first case, it supports 120 W charging, and in the second case, 135 W charging. Connectivity is represented by 5G NSA /SA, dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6E 802.11 ax (2.4 GHz/5 GHz/6 GHz), Bluetooth 5.2, GPS (L1/L5), GLONASS, USB-C, NFC and 3, 5 mm audio jack. The fingerprint sensor is integrated into the display. The operating system is Android 12 with Redmagic OS 5.5 superstructure.
The photo equipment of both new machines is the same and, given that they are phones focused on gaming, it is pretty much standard. The main camera is triple with a primary 64 MP sensor, complemented by an 8 MP wide-angle lens and a 2 MP macro lens. The front camera located under the display has 8 MP or 16 MP. The phones also have improved ICE 10.0 cooling and have a built-in turbo fan with up to 20,000 revolutions per minute. There are also stereo speakers, Dual Smart PA and 3 microphones. The phones also have two pressure-sensitive gaming buttons and a button to activate liquid cooling.
The phones are going to the Chinese market in Dark Knight and Deuterium Front Transparent. They are already in pre-order status and sales start from 15/Jul. The prices of the individual versions are as follows:
Red Magic 7S Dark Knight
Deuterium Front Transparent
Red Magic 7S Pro Dark Knight
Deuterium Front Transparent
