The complete design of the upcoming Redmi Pad in the unboxing video

During the covid pandemic, our interest in tablets skyrocketed and the moribund industry received new blood in its veins. We saw the return of some big names to this field and even some absolute newcomers. Well, interest is slowly decreasing, but even so, the production of tablets is still a relatively lucrative business. We already had the opportunity to see a few nice pieces from Xiaomi in the past, but the subsidiary Redmi still lingered. But that will change very soon with the arrival of the premiere Redmi Pad model.

The official launch of the Redmi Pad is scheduled for October 4, and the country of choice is India. We had the opportunity to see the first pictures of the tablet a few days ago, so we have a fairly clear idea of the design. But we can dispel all doubts only today, because a comprehensive unboxing video with everything has appeared on the Internet. Although it is in Spanish, you can read much more from it than just the design elements themselves. We can basically definitively confirm some previous speculations regarding the parameters of the tablet.

COMPLETE PARAMETERS UNDER A MAGNIFYING GLASS

The Redmi Pad will have an all-metal unibody construction and at first glance it looks likably slim. The display is then a 10.61-inch IPS with a 90 Hz refresh rate and probably FullHD+ resolution. The performance is handled by the Mediatek Helio G99 processor supplemented by 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal memory. You can also see an additional 2 GB of RAM in the form of virtual extra memory. The battery has a capacity of 8000 mAh and the included charger handles 22.5W power. At the back of the tablet we find a single 8 Mpx main camera and four speakers with Dolby Atmos, or a USB Type-C port.

 Redmi Pad

The tablet will of course run on the MIUI superstructure, specifically version 13.1.2 built on Android 12. However, we do not yet know the set price or overall availability. Because due to the frequent regional fragmentation of the Xiaomi/Redmi offer, we are definitely not sure of anything here. However, the Redmi Pad should not be too expensive in theory, because it is definitely not a high-end model after all.
