Although there is a lot of talk now about the upcoming introduction of the Redmi Note 12 series phones, we must not forget that the manufacturer is also slowly working on the Redmi K60 series models. The previous K50 series seems to have closed with the release of the K50 Ultra, leaving the space for a successor open. We know that the K series is popular and fans are clamoring for phones with a well-balanced price/performance ratio. But it is true that some of them have reservations about the fact that none of the K series models support wireless charging yet.
The issue of wireless charging is said to be resolved with the Redmi K60 series models. At least that's what the well-known tipster Digital Chat Station tells us on the Chinese network . The tipster believes there will be two versions with 30W wireless charging support. The former is said to support 67W wired charging and the aforementioned 30W wireless charging. The second version is said to get 120W wired charging and 30W wireless charging.
But it is difficult to say whether it will be two versions of one and the same phone, or two different models of the Redmi K60 series. Either way, the tipster announces that the manufacturer will use the flagship Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 processor, but does not rule out the use of the Snapdragon 8 Gen2 chipset either. This also suggests that the Redmi K60 model or models will not debut this year. It is possible that the launch will happen after the Chinese New Year celebrations. Subsequent sales may start sometime in the spring.
As for other specifications, the tipster expects these Redmi K60 phones to have a "Dynamic Island" feature as well. That is, something similar to what Apple phones from the iPhone 14 series have. It is basically an oval cut-out for the front camera, which dynamically changes size, works with various applications and can be controlled by touch. But let's take into account that so far these are only tipsters' estimates, which have not been confirmed by the manufacturer.
