Moto X40 with Snapdragon 8 Gen2 may debut this year

You probably remember at the end of last year, when about a week after the launch of the Snapdragon 8 Gen1 flagship processor, the first phone with this chipset, the Moto Edge X30 , debuted on the Chinese market . It then reached global markets in February of this year with the trade name Moto Edge 30 Pro , where it is also doing quite successfully. However, the year is slowly coming to an end and we are all waiting for the presentation of the new Snapdragon 8 Gen2 flagship processor. And at the same time, we are also waiting to see if last year's first place will be repeated for the Moto X40 flagship phone. The Xiaomi and iQOO brands are also in the game with their new flagship phones with the upcoming Qualcomm processor.

ESTIMATED SPECIFICATIONS OF THE MOTO X40 PHONE 

Similar to other smartphone manufacturers, Motorola is already working on its new flagship Moto X40. And it is clear that this phone will be ordered by the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen2 processor. The tipsters have only marginally mentioned this phone so far, but for the first information we will go to the Chinese network , where the well-known tipster Digital Chat Station announces the first estimated specifications.

First of all, the tipster confirmed that the upcoming Moto X40 is indeed powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen2 processor. The phone may thus be among the first to appear on the market with a new flagship chipset. The tipster suggests that Motorola will introduce it before the end of this year, probably already in November/November. However, the manufacturer is still silent about this fact.

In addition to the Digital Chat Station, it also announces a display with FullHD+ resolution and a high refresh rate. Recall that last year's Moto Edge X30 model has a screen with a refresh rate of 144 Hz. He also mentions the primary 50 MP sensor of the main camera, which is also the same as last year's model in terms of resolution. Well, given that the Moto X40 phone has already passed the Chinese 3C certification, support for fast charging with a power of 68 W is also confirmed. We expect more details about the parameters of this machine soon.
