Honor 80 is said to get a 160 MP photo sensor
After breaking away from Huawei, the Honor brand is playing for itself. After a rather tepid start, she is starting to do well, and not just in China. It also scores fairly well in global markets and, for example, attracted a lot of attention in Europe with the release of the Honor 70 phone. Although this machine debuted on global markets relatively recently, in China they are already thinking about its successor. That is why tipsters are already estimating what specifications the Honor 80 and Honor 80 Pro models could have. Today we will add more pieces to the mosaic of parameters and look primarily at the photo equipment of the phones of this series.
If initially the tipsters for the Honor 80 model estimated that the primary sensor of the main camera would get a 64 MP sensor and for the 80 Pro model they even predicted a 200 MPix sensor, so now they are slightly adjusting their estimates. Well, at least the well-known tipster Digital Chat Station. On Chinese Weibo , they claim that the manufacturer has indeed prepared significant improvements to the cameras for the upcoming phones. However, he mentions that one of the models will get a primary 160 MP sensor.
However, there is currently not a single phone on the market that has a 160 MP photo sensor. And perhaps even sensors with this resolution do not exist. It is therefore possible that Honor will use one of the 200 MP sensors and adapt it to its own needs. But that's really just big speculation. In addition, the tipster also suggests that the front camera of at least one of the 80 series models will get two 50 MPix sensors, which is also quite interesting.
And finally, the tipster also confirmed that the phones are powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 processor. But it is likely that we will only find this chipset in the top model in the series. And since tipsters are counting on the Honor 80 SE, Honor 80 and 80 Pro models, the Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 manufacturer will probably reserve only the latter phone. For the two previous tipsters, the chipsets are Dimensity 1080 and Snapdragon 778G+. But the charging will also be improved, with tipsters estimating a power of up to 100 W. And the display will not come up short either. However, these are still only unconfirmed estimates and speculations.
