Exynos 1380 and Exynos 1330 are Bluetooth SIG certified
Among other things, Samsung is engaged in the production of its own Exynos processors. But the chipsets have their heyday behind them and a very tough competitor, the Qualcomm processors, is in front of them. For its Galaxy S flagship series, Samsung has always fitted part of these phones with its own Exynos, and used the competing Snapdragon in the other part of the phones. But this strategy does not have a positive response among those fans who, thanks to the market, are dependent on the Galaxy S flagship phone with an Exynos processor. This year, Samsung will listen to them, because it will only use the Snapdragon 8 Gen2 processor for the Galaxy S23 series . This fact has basically already been confirmed by Qualcomm representatives. However, Samsung is not canceling the production of its own chipsets and is preparing new Exynos 1380 and Exynos 1330 processors.
EXYNOS 1380 AND EXYNOS 1330 ARE FOR MID-RANGE AND ENTRY-LEVEL PHONES
Samsung processors for flagship phones are not the most successful at the moment, but Exynos chipsets for mid-range and entry-level phones are still quite popular. And the upcoming Exynos 1380 and Exynos 1330 chipsets are intended for these machines. And even in these two segments, Samsung has a fairly strong presence. Let's name all of them, for example, phones from the Galaxy A series, in which we will probably see these new chipsets next year. This is evidenced by the Bluetooth SIG certification that both upcoming processors have already received.
The Bluetooth SIG certification of both processors confirmed support for Bluetooth 5.3, which is certainly a step in the right direction. The first of the upcoming processors, the Exynos 1380, is the successor to the 1280 chipset. It is said to have at least two ARM Cortex-A cores and a Mali-G615 GPU.
There's also an integrated 5G modem that offers mmWave and sub-6 GHz connectivity. The processor will appear in the first quarter of next year in the Galaxy A54 or Galaxy A74 phones. The second chipset, the Exynos 1330, is being prepared by Samsung for entry-level phones in which the Exynos 850 or 880 chipset has been used so far. However, we will have to wait a while for more details about both processors.
