Moto X40 in the first rendered images
After the release of the flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen2 processor, quite a few smartphone manufacturers are gearing up to launch their premium phone with this chipset. Some are in no hurry and will introduce the new product next year, but others plan to introduce the phone before the end of this year. The second group of manufacturers also includes Motorola, which is preparing the Moto X40 or X40 Pro phone. It's launching later this month, so tipsters are in for a treat. And so do we, actually, because there is no shortage of new information about this smartphone.
Motorola's new phone will debut on the Chinese market with the trade name Moto X40, or Moto X40 Pro. It will probably hit global markets next year as the Moto Edge 40 Pro. We are still waiting for the exact date of the launch in China, but we can shorten the wait by looking at the first rendered images of this phone, published by MySmartPrice in collaboration with designer OnLeaks.
Although we have already seen the Moto X40 phone in the images that are part of the Tenaa certification, it certainly won't hurt to see what the designers have prepared. Their pictures are relatively more detailed. The renders offer a look at the front and back panels of the phone, which has undergone several design changes compared to last year's model.
Let's start with the front panel, which has significantly curved edges and narrow symmetrical bezels, including the chin. In the center of the top of the screen is a hole for the front camera. On the right edge lies the volume rocker and the power button, the left edge is without controls. On the top edge is a secondary speaker grill and a secondary microphone. The bottom edge is where the primary speaker grille, primary microphone and USB-C port are located. In the upper left corner of the back is a smaller rectangular main camera module with rounded corners. It contains two larger sensors, one smaller sensor and an LED flash. In the center of the back panel is the notorious manufacturer's logo. The dimensions of the Moto X40 phone are 161.3 x 73.9 x 8.6 mm, the thickness rises to 10.8 mm in the place of the camera module.
