Vivo S16, S16 Pro and S16e have a confirmed launch date

Since the end of last month, tipsters have been supplying us with news about the upcoming Vivo S16 series phones. We know some of their specifications and we have also seen what design the manufacturer has prepared for the S16 Pro model. Well, and last but not least, tipsters also announced that the phones will appear before the end of this year, with three phones, namely the Vivo S16, S16 Pro and S16e. However, the exact date of the presentation remained a secret until today.

But now a teaser is hanging on the official Weibo account of the Vivo brand, according to which the launch of the Vivo S16 series phones will take place in the Chinese market on December 22nd at 19:00 local time. We can also find a similar trailer on several Chinese e-shops, and in addition to it, there are also images that show the design of all three phones. It basically corresponds to the rendered image we saw a few days ago.

VIVO S16 SERIES ESTIMATED SPECIFICATIONS 

Since there are still a few days left until the presentation, we will summarize what we know so far about the Vivo S16 series phones. The S16e model has a 6.62-inch AMOLED display with FullHD+ resolution. The S16 and S16 Pro models have a 6.78-inch AMOLED screen with FullHD+ resolution, and in the case of the Pro model, the screen has curved side edges. All three phones support a 120Hz refresh rate and have a fingerprint sensor integrated into the display.

Each of the upcoming phones is powered by a different processor. The Vivo S16 has a Snapdragon 870, the S16 Pro got the Dimensity 8200, and the S16e got the Exynos 1080. The standard model and the S16e have a battery with a capacity of 4600 mAh and support for fast charging with a power of 66 W. We don't know the battery capacity of the S16 Pro yet, but we do know that it supports 80W charging. All three phones have a triple main camera. The S16e phone got 50 MP and two 2 MP sensors. Vivo S16 has 64 MP, 8 MP and 2 MP sensors. For the Pro model, we know that its Sony IMX766 primary sensor has a resolution of 50 MP and the camera will support the Vivo V1+ ISP chip. We expect more details about the specifications before the presentation.
