The Vivo X90 series smartphones were first announced in November 2022. However, the phones are only available for the Chinese market for now. And while the end of January is being speculated as the date for the global market, we have no official confirmation yet.
Anyway, the company seems to be planning a global debut of the X90 series quite soon. Vivo Malaysia has just released its first official teaser about these devices. And we expect to get more information in the coming days.
It goes without saying that the X90 Pro will be the most interesting model in the range. The phone got a great 6.78-inch QHD AMOLED display. This panel has a refresh rate of 120 Hz, which offers fast and smooth movement.
Although the Vivo X90 Pro is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8200 chipset, its performance is on par with some current flagships. However, the main attraction of the phone is the camera. On the back there is a 50.3MP camera with two secondary sensors. And the front has a 32 MP selfie camera.
It won't let you down in terms of battery life either. The phone received a battery with a capacity of 4870 mAh. And it supports 120W fast charging.
As for the base Vivo X90, it has the same AMOLED panel as the Pro model. It even has the same chipset and 120W fast charging support. However, the periscope camera is missing on the back. Instead, it uses a 12MP telephoto lens.
The base model X90 also didn't get the 50.3MP camera that the X90 Pro boasts. Instead of the Sony IMX989 sensor , the basic model Vivo X90 received an IMX866 sensor with a resolution of 50 MP. Although it is an older sensor, it still retains interesting features such as OIS stabilization and laser autofocus. So the quality of the images should not be bad at all.
