A few weeks have passed since the first announcement about the upcoming Poco X5 series phones. Fans of the brand, not only the manufacturer, but also tipsters regularly informed about what the new phones, i.e. the standard X5 model and the X5 Pro model, will offer. In addition, the manufacturer confirmed at the end of last month that it will introduce the phones globally on February 6, which it did . It's true that shortly before the launch, Poco officially confirmed all the specifications of both new machines, so today we'll just quickly summarize them.
Both Poco X5 and Poco X5 Pro have a very similar design. The appearance follows the well-established Poco line and there are quite narrow frames around the displays, the chin is a little wider, especially for the standard model. At the top center of the screens is a "hole" for the front camera.
The back panel is two-tone, which includes the black main camera module and the rest of the back in a different color. For the Pro model, this combination can only be found in the yellow color variant, other color variants have a camera module prepared in the same color as the back, only it is glossy. The module itself is rectangular and is placed horizontally in the upper third of the rear panel.
Both phones have a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels. The Poco X50 has a screen with a refresh rate of 120 Hz. For the model, it has a dynamic refresh rate from 30 Hz to 120 Hz. The manufacturer added a 240 Hz sampling rate, 1920 Hz PWM dimming, DCI-P3 color gamut and HDR10+ support to it. The displays of both models are protected by Gorilla Glass 3 or 5.
Now it's time to see how the new processor phones are doing. The Poco X5 is powered by the Snapdragon 695, which can also be found in the older X4 Pro model. For the X5 Pro, it's the Snapdragon 778G chipset. As for memories, both phones have 6/8 GB of operating memory and 128/256 GB of internal storage. The battery capacity is the same, reaching 5000 mAh. But in terms of fast charging, the phones differ, as the standard model supports 33W charging, while the Pro model received 67W charging. The fingerprint sensor is located on the edge of the phones in both cases. There is an IR blaster, resistance according to IP53 certification, 3.5 mm audio jack and stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos. The operating system is Android 12, supplemented by the MIUI 12 superstructure for the Poco X5 and MIUI 14 for the X5 Pro.
The main cameras are triple in both cases. In the standard version, the camera consists of a primary 48 MP sensor, a wide-angle 8 MP lens and a 2 MP macro lens. For the version, the primary sensor received a 108 MP Samsung Isocell sensor with a size of 1/1.52 inches and an aperture of f/1.9. The second in the order is an 8 MP wide-angle lens with a 120° field of view, and everything was completed by a 2 MP macro lens. The front cameras have a resolution of 13 MP and 16 MP.
The Poco X5 comes in black, green and blue. For the model, the manufacturer offers it in yellow, blue and black. Sales in global markets begin today, but it is likely that prices may vary from market to market. Nevertheless, let's take a look at the officially listed prices of both phones. These are as follows:
