Despite the US sanctions , Huawei is still not giving up smartphone production. It is true that its phones lose their appeal outside of their home country of China, but they are still among the more interesting ones. And that is precisely why several models from the Huawei P60 series were launched yesterday , which can easily be classed as premium devices. So let's see what the new machines can offer us.
We will start by finding three phones in this series. Namely, they are the Huawei P60, P60 Pro and P60 Art models. Their front panel is basically the same as any other phone, but the back panel has a new design. The main camera module is quite prominent, as the surround of the primary sensor is really large. Above and below it are two small surrounds for additional sensors. Below the sensors we see the base of the module in the shape of a rectangle. For the P60 Art model, the base has the shape of a kind of "deformed" oval.
All phones in the Huawei P60 series have the same curved 6.67-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2700 × 1220 pixels, a dynamic refresh rate of 120 Hz, LTPO technology and a sampling rate of 300 Hz. The screen also supports the DCI-P3 color gamut, 1440 Hz PWM dimming, and its usable area reached 93.1%.
The standard Huawei P60 is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen1 processor, and the P60 Pro and P60 Art received Snapdragon 8+ Gen1. However, for obvious reasons, both chipsets only support 4G networks. And this can be somewhat disappointing for some users. In addition, even the Snapdragon 8 Gen1 is already slightly older in the framework of flagships. The P60 model will go on the market with 8 GB of RAM and 128/256/512 GB of internal storage. The P60 Pro and P60 Art models also have 1 TB of internal memory. Connectivity in all cases is represented by dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ax (2.4 GHz/5 GHz), Bluetooth 5.2 LE, GPS (L1/L5 Dual band), NFC, USB-C 3.1. The phone maker also added IP8-certified resistance and stereo speakers.
The battery capacity differs for individual models. The standard phone has a 4815mAh battery with support for 66W fast wired charging and 50W wireless charging. The P60 Pro model has the same battery, but it supports 88W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. The P60 Art got a 5100 mAh battery with the same charging as the P60 Pro. The operating system in all cases is Harmony OS 3.1.
PHOTO EQUIPMENT, PRICES AND AVAILABILITY
Probably the biggest attraction of the Huawei P60 series phones is the photo equipment . It varies slightly from model to model, but all cameras are triple. The P60 has a primary 48 MP sensor with RYYB, dynamic aperture f/1.4 to 4.0 and OIS support. The second sensor is 13 MP and functions as a wide-angle lens with RYYB. Thirdly, there is a 12 MP RYYB sensor with OIS and 5x optical zoom. On the Pro model, the first two sensors are the same, but the third works as a telephoto lens with a resolution of 48 MP, OIS, 3.5x optical zoom and 100x digital zoom. The P60 Art has the same primary sensor as its brothers, with a 40MP wide-angle lens. The third sensor is the same as the Pro model. The front cameras of all three phones have 13 MP.
Pre-orders for the Huawei P60 and P60 Pro phones are now open, with sales starting on March 30/March. The P60 Art will go on sale on April 7. The prices of the phones are as follows:

P60 Pro
