As you probably know, earlier this year , OPPO introduced its latest foldable phone, the OPPO Find N2 Flip. The successful flagship enjoys a lot of interest, not only because of its compact design, but mainly because of the technologies hidden in the phone.
However, the economical size often takes its toll on foldable phones in the form of long battery life and frequent charging. But this does not apply to the battery of the OPPO Find N2 Flip model. Are you asking why?
Until now, nothing on the market has made it possible to use the potential of a flip phone for spectacular style and long battery life at the same time.
The easiest way to improve battery life is to increase its capacity. But with a flip phone, it's not easy. After all, how do you fit a large, fast-charging battery into a compact body? Especially when the hinge and folding mechanism take up so much space? It is incredibly difficult. That's why most flip phones have batteries smaller than 4000 mAh.
Every flip phone manufacturer has faced this battery capacity issue, but OPPO has approached it in a unique way. As OPPO's design engineer explains : “Originally, we expected our first flip phone to have a maximum battery capacity of 3800 mAh. After all, it had to be thin, compact, and yet storable. But as a technological and engineering leader, we demanded more from ourselves. So we persevered to achieve something incredible with the Find N2 Flip. In other words, the best battery capacity in its class.”
In order to achieve a high battery capacity in a flip phone, OPPO looked for several small opportunities. They came together like drops in the sea and achieved something monumental. For example, an additional 100 mAh was obtained by redesigning the SIM card slot, saving 2.2 mm of space. And moving the output position of the main display freed up another 78 mAh. OPPO worked with these small victories until it finally managed to fit a 4300 mAh battery into the compact body of the Find N2 Flip.
This additional capacity means a 17% improvement in battery life, up to 20 hours of YouTube playback or 53 hours of Spotify listening compared to other flip phones. It also means the Find N2 Flip can comfortably last all day on a single charge, putting flip phones on par with traditional smartphones.

Flip phones usually don't charge as fast as traditional phones because fast charging systems require a very large battery. However, OPPO has once again risen to the challenge with the Find N2 Flip, offering a best-in-class 44W SUPERVOOCTM flash charge that charges the phone from near-empty to 34% in just 15 minutes.
However, OPPO's charging philosophy doesn't start with fast charging. While the goal of charging is speed, the foundation upon which speed is possible must be safety and durability. Since flip phones are very unique in their design, creating a fast charging system with excellent longevity even after a longer number of charge cycles is incredibly challenging.
The N2 Flip charges from almost empty to 34% in just 15 minutes and to 50% in just 23 minutes thanks to 44W SUPERVOOCTM fast charging.
As a pioneer in fast charging technology, OPPO has risen to the flip phone battery challenge by reimagining its proven dual-cell fast charging design. This time, however, it incorporated one larger cell – 3110 mAh and one smaller cell – 1190 mAh, for a total of 4300 mAh.
Due to the requirement to fully charge and discharge both cells at the same time, which is critical to the long-term health of the battery, OPPO has created its “Dual-Battery Charging System”. And she added a control switch to the parallel circuit. When the charging chip detects that the small battery is charged to a certain level, its voltage is disconnected. And n8sledn2 will move to charging the larger battery. When the larger one is about to reach 100%, the power goes back to the parallel shunt scheme again, so the battery as a whole can achieve the same charge and discharge times as traditional smartphones.
Thanks to this “dual battery charging system”, 44W SUPERVOOCTM charging is safe, stable and possible in a small space.
