Android 14 Beta 3 is here

Although the launch of a new version of the Android operating system occurs every year in the fall, users have been impatiently waiting for it since the spring. The development and testing of a new version of the system is a bit of a long run, which is why Google releases developer versions first. They are unstable and incomplete, which is why developers test them. This year is therefore marked by the Android 14 system and its third beta version is now in the world .

We know that the first beta version reached the Oppo Find N2 Flip phone. Developers and supporters of the ColorOS user system superstructure tried out the development version of the ColorOS system, which is built on the Android 14 system . And now we will look at the news that is in the third beta version that has just been released.

ANDROID 14 BETA 3 TARGETS THIRD-PARTY DEVELOPERS

Google itself called Android 14 Beta 3 a stabilization of the platform. This means that the developer API and all application behavior in the system is now final and will not change until the system is released for commercial use. At this point, third-party developers can start working on integrating new features into their applications.

New features in Android 14 Beta 3 include, for example, non-linear font scaling. This can be increased by up to 200% by default, making the phone easier for visually impaired people to use. There is also an option to grant limited access to media libraries, support for animation in gesture navigation and/or update OpenJDK 17 LTS libraries. Due to the stability of the platform, developers can also develop and release compatibility updates.

Finally, we will also add that the Google Pixel 7a phone is also newly included in the testing. The last beta version of the Android 14 system will be released next month. Then we just have to wait for the final stable version. Google hasn't said when it will release it, but if everything goes smoothly, August could be the right month.
