Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen3 checked by Geekbench

Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen3 checked by Geekbench

Just as we know that after summer comes fall, we know that with fall comes the next generation of Qualcomm's flagship processor. This year we will see the Snapdragon 8 Gen3 chipset, which the manufacturer will present at its technical summit between October 24 and 26/October. Of course, some smartphone manufacturers already have this processor reserved for their upcoming flagship machines.

According to tipsters' estimates, the chipset will offer a significant performance advantage over Snapdragon 8 Gen2 without reducing energy efficiency. They claim that the performance of the Snapdragon 8 Gen3 processor has increased by about 30% compared to last year's chipset. And GPU performance has also increased. It also needs to be said that Qualcomm did not have the option to use TSMC's 3nm process for manufacturing, but instead used N4P technology.

SNAPDRAGON 8 GEN3 TESTED IN RED MAGIC 9 PHONE

Geekbench benchmark tests checked how the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen3 is doing with performance. The chipset has been tested in a Nubia phone codenamed NX769J. According to tipsters, it is the Red Magic 9 model, or rather its prototype. Therefore, the score is only indicative and the results of the final version of the phone with Snapdragon 8 Gen3 may therefore differ.

In the listing , we can see that the chipset has the internal designation "pineapple", has eight cores and the maximum clock speed on the primary core is 3.19 GHz. The next five cores are clocked at 2.96 GHz and the last two cores are clocked at 2.27 GHz. So the architecture of the three clusters is 1/5/2. And what are the performance test results? In the Single-core test, the phone with the flagship processor of the new generation scored 1596 points, and in the multi-core test, it scored 5977 points. These results really show higher performance both on one core and on all cores. Although the tipsters estimate that the GPU also has higher performance, this will only be confirmed by benchmarks that test the graphics.
