This week is likely to be rich in introductions of new processors. It has not been a secret for a long time that Qualcomm will introduce the Snapdragon 8 Gen3 at its summit. Immediately after its launch, Xiaomi will present its Xiaomi 14 series. But MediaTek is not far behind. She is also preparing her new flagship processor Dimensity 9300. We do not know the exact date of its launch, but tipsters estimate that it will also take place this week.
Even before the presentation of the new processor, manufacturers have a habit of testing it in one of the phones that will use it in the future. And the benchmark tests have already tested the Dimensity 9300 chipset. A phone marked PHZ110 appeared on the Geekbench platform, which is said to be the Oppo Find X7 model. And thanks to this , we found out that the upcoming MediaTek processor has quite a decent performance.
According to the test dump and the WccfTech website, the Dimensity 9300 chipset has eight cores, divided into three clusters with a 1/3/4 architecture. The clock on the primary Cortex-X4 Prime core is 3.25 GHz, the other three Cortex-A720 cores are clocked at 2.85 GHz. The last four cores are clocked at 2.00 GHz. The set was completed by the Immortalis G720 MC12 GPU. It scored 2139 points in the Single-core test and 7110 points in the multi-core test. Compared to the Snapdragon 8 Gen3 tested in the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, which scored 2234 and 6807 points, it scores lower in the single-core test, but higher in the multi-core test. so the performance is very balanced.
In another comparison, we look at Samsung's Exynos 2400 processor. It scored 2067 and 6520 points in the benchmark tests. Here it is clear that the Dimensity 9300 is better in both directions. But how does it compare to the Apple A17 Pro chipset that powers the iPhone 15 Pro? In this case, the Dimensity 9300 still has some catching up to do. Apple's processor has 36.3% better performance on a single core and 1.7% better performance on multiple cores. Of course, these are benchmark tests, which we take for the performance of the processors as indicative only.
