Exactly as expected, the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S24 series took place yesterday. We looked at the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24 Plus models in detail in the previous article , and now we will summarize the specifications of the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra model, which is the cherry on the Galaxy S24 cake. Galaxy S Ultra phones have long been among the best on the market, and it seems that this tradition will not be broken this year either.

THE DESIGN AND DISPLAY OF THE SAMSUNG GALAXY S24 ULTRA

As with other models in the Galaxy S24 series, the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra has a simple and elegant design. In addition, this year it is more "angular" with a flat front and back panel. Only the edges are slightly rounded. The bezels around the display are very narrow and symmetrical, and there is a “hole” in the top center of the screen for the front camera. The main camera module consists of three vertical bezels and to the right of them are two more smaller bezels with an LED flash between them. Also for the Ultra model, the manufacturer used recycled materials for the body construction. The frame is titanium and the body is only 8.6 mm thick.

The Dynamic AMOLED 2X display has a diagonal of 6.8 inches, a resolution of 3120 × 1440 pixels and a dynamic refresh rate of 1 Hz to 120 Hz. Brightness reached up to 2600 nits, finesse to 505 ppi. In addition, the screen also supports the S-Pen stylus and is protected by Gorilla Armor glass. 

OTHER SPECIFICATIONS 

As previously announced by tipsters, the Samsung Galaxy model goes to all markets exclusively with the Snapdragon 8 Gen3 flagship processor. The chipset is paired with 12GB of RAM and 256GB/512GB and 1TB of internal memory. Connectivity is represented by 5G SA/NSA, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 7 802.11be (2.4/5 GHz), Bluetooth 5.3, UWB, GPS, GLONASS, USB-C 3.1 and NFC. Like its siblings, the Galaxy S24 Ultra is IP68-certified.

Here too we find improved cooling and also improved artificial intelligence support. Of course, even this model is promised up to seven years of operating system updates and security patches. The battery has a capacity of 5000 mAh and supports 45 W fast wired charging and Qi wireless charging. The operating system is Android 14 with One UI 6.1 superstructure.

PHOTO EQUIPMENT, PRICES AND AVAILABILITY 

In the photo equipment of the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, we find the main camera with four sensors. The first of them has a resolution of 200 MPix, an aperture of f/1.7 and OIS support. There is also a 12MP wide-angle lens with a 120° field of view and an f/2.2 aperture. The third 10 MPix sensor functions as a telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, f/2.4 aperture and OIS. The last 50 MPix sensor is also a telephoto lens, but periscopic with 5x zoom, 4x Space zoom, laser focus and f/3.4 aperture. The front camera has a 12 MPix sensor with an aperture of f/2.2 and automatic focus.

The Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra goes on the market in Titanium Gray, Titanium Black, Titanium Violet and Titanium Yellow. Also available exclusively in certain markets are Titanium Blue, Titanium Green and Titanium Orange. Among these selected markets is ours, the Czech one. Pre-orders are already open on the Samsung website , sales start on January 31.
