The iQOO brand has been actively expanding its Z9 series of smartphones since the spring of this year. The lineup already includes the standard iQOO Z9, Z9 Lite, and Z9x models, all of which debuted in India. Recently, two more models have been added to the series in the Indian market: the iQOO Z9s and Z9s Pro. While these mid-range devices feature different rear panel designs, they share several key specifications.
The iQOO Z9s sports an oval-shaped main camera module with two smaller oval compartments. The upper compartment houses two sensors, while the lower one contains a circular Aura Light flash. In contrast, the Z9s Pro has a larger square camera module with rounded corners, located in the upper left corner of the back panel. This module also includes two sensors and an Aura Light flash. Both phones feature curved AMOLED displays with narrow bezels and a centered punch-hole for the front camera.
Both models boast a 6.77-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2392 × 1080 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. The screens support a 300Hz touch sampling rate and HDR10+. The Pro model offers a peak brightness of 4500 nits, while the standard model peaks at 1800 nits.
Apart from the design, the main difference between the two models lies in their processors. The iQOO Z9s is powered by the Dimensity 7300 chipset, while the Z9s Pro features the Snapdragon 7 Gen3 chipset. Both models offer 8GB or 12GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of internal storage. Connectivity options include 5G SA/NSA, dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6 (802.11 ac), Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, and USB-C. Both devices have in-display fingerprint sensors and are IP64-rated for dust and water resistance. The battery capacity is 5500 mAh in both models, with the standard model supporting 44W fast charging and the Pro model offering 80W fast charging. Both phones run on Android 14 with FunTouch OS 14.
The iQOO Z9s and Z9s Pro differ slightly in camera setup. Both models feature a 50MP Sony IMX882 primary sensor with f/1.79 aperture and OIS. The iQOO Z9s adds a 2MP depth sensor, while the Z9s Pro includes an 8MP wide-angle lens. Both devices have a 16MP front camera with an f/2.45 aperture.
The iQOO Z9s is available in Titanium Matte and Onyx Green, while the Z9s Pro comes in Luxe Marble and Flamboyant Orange (vegan leather). Sales on Amazon India begin on August 29. The iQOO Z9s is priced at INR 19,999 ($238) for the 8GB/128GB variant, INR 21,999 ($262) for the 8GB/256GB variant, and INR 23,999 ($286) for the 12GB/256GB variant. The Z9s Pro starts at INR 24,999 ($298) for the base model, with higher-end variants priced at INR 26,999 ($322) and INR 28,999 ($346).
