The Tecno brand has become familiar to Sri Lankan users, especially after its introduction to the local market less than two years ago. These phones offer an impressive balance between price and performance, making them popular in global markets. The latest addition to Tecno's lineup is the Tecno Spark 30, which replaces last year's Spark 20. Let's explore what this new budget-friendly smartphone has to offer.
The design of the Tecno Spark 30 follows the current trend of large circular camera modules. The module is centered at the top of the flat back panel, while the front panel features a flat display with narrow bezels, except for a slightly wider chin. The front camera is housed in a punch-hole cutout at the top of the 6.78-inch FullHD+ display, which also boasts a 90Hz refresh rate. The display is designed to remain responsive even when wet or greasy, making it highly functional in various conditions. A fingerprint sensor is conveniently located on the edge of the device.
Under the hood, the Tecno Spark 30 is powered by the MediaTek Helio G91 chipset, paired with 8GB of RAM and options for 128GB or 256GB of internal storage. Additionally, the phone offers 8GB of virtual RAM for enhanced multitasking. The battery is a solid 5000 mAh, and the device supports 18W fast charging. The phone also features IP64 certification for resistance against dust and splashes. Other notable features include NFC support and dual speakers with Dolby Atmos for an immersive audio experience. The Tecno Spark 30 runs on Android 14.
The Tecno Spark 30's camera setup is headlined by a 64 MP primary sensor, specifically the Sony IMX682, which promises excellent image quality. Although the details of the secondary sensor have not been revealed, the front camera features a 13 MP sensor, ensuring clear selfies and video calls.
The Tecno Spark 30 will be available in Orbit White and Orbit Black color options. Initially, the phone will be launched in the Tanzanian market, though details regarding its pricing and availability in other regions, including Sri Lanka, have yet to be announced.
