Samsung has quietly unveiled the Galaxy A16 5G on its Dutch website, and it comes with an impressive promise: six generations of Android updates and security patches for six years. This level of long-term software support is typically reserved for premium devices, making it a remarkable offering for a mid-range phone. The updates are scheduled to continue until October 2030, an unprecedented feature for a phone in this price range.

While Samsung hasn't officially announced the price of the Galaxy A16 5G, its predecessor was priced around $199. It's expected that the Galaxy A16 5G will be similarly priced, offering users excellent value for money with its combination of features and long-term support.

The Galaxy A16 5G is equipped with a 6.7-inch AMOLED panel featuring a Full HD+ resolution of 2,340 x 1,080 pixels and a 90 Hz refresh rate, ensuring smooth visuals and vibrant colors. However, the phone retains the familiar U-shaped cutout for the 13MP selfie camera and has typical mid-range bezels.
The rear of the device sports a classic Samsung design, with three camera rings and an LED flash on the side.
