Xiaomi will be launching the Xiaomi 12 flagship series in the next few months and it looks like the company is working on a special hardware software that can be introduced on the phone. According to new reports, Xiaomi is testing a 5-axis stabilization, just as OPPO announced a few months ago.
The Xiaomi 12 Series promises to build on the successes of the positively received Mi 11 Series. While many leaks show racial developments, it seems that Xiaomi is set to arm the series with hardware that should appeal to camera lovers.
Going by word from popular leaker Digital Chat Station, Xiaomi is testing out new video stabilization hardware for its phones. The leaker confirms that this feature is quite similar to what Chinese rival OPPO currently has in the works. Expectations should lean towards stabilization performance better than Vivo's gimbal camera technology as seen on the Vivo X60 Pro newer flagships.Details on Xiaomi's technology implementation are unclear, but Digital Chat Center confirms that it uses both lens and sensor gestures to achieve a 5-axis effect.
Not sure what phone feature Xiaomi will offer, but the Xiaomi 12 Ultra will be a good bet. Xiaomi has come a long way in terms of stabilization of its flagship phones, and it should be noted that this technology competes more efficiently with tough attackers from Samsung and Apple.
