Xiaomi has introduced another security patch update to its latest supported Android One smartphone, the Mi A3. V12.0.15.0.RFQMIXM is now released for mobile phones at MIUI's global branch.
Xiaomi has upgraded the Mi A3 to the latest security feature from Google. The V12.0.14.0.RFQMIXM, which arrived last month, will be replaced by the 2021 October 2021 Security tab V12.0.15.0.RFQMIXM. You can read about the security changes made by Google this month in the latest Android security ads.
V12.0.15.0.RFQMIXM packs only the October security patch. So it's a small update of 40.56 MB. V12.0.15.0.RFQMIXM performs an Over-The-Air (OTA) update via Mi A3. Please note that the update is only available for the global version of the Mi A3. Xiaomi has not updated the European version of the phone yet but this should come next week or so.
Mi A3 security patches should be available for at least July 2022. All future updates will only include new security patches; The Mi A3 will last indefinitely on Android 11. However, it is unlikely that Xiaomi will release another Android One smartphone.
