Google's Pixel 6 Pro seems like the first serious attempt by the company for a proper flagship smartphone in years - one that seems to be really competitive in all areas, not just one or two as before. The new phone will be released in a few hours in the minimal markets where Google sells its devices. It's interesting to know how Google's latest and greatest have done compared to Apple's latest and greatest, right? Let's say, in a side-by-side speed test. Well, that's exactly what we have for you today, courtesy of PhoneBuff. The Google Pixel 6 Pro is up against the Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max and it is going to be a tough battle! Watch the video!
We see that the Pixel takes the lead from the beginning, but then the iPhone comes back and finishes first, but the Pixel comes in just 4 seconds behind it. When it comes to RAM management test, the two devices are still very close, but the iPhone finally has the advantage by 6 seconds. So in the end, while the Pixel is fast in this kind of test, it can't beat the iPhone 13 Pro Max.
In everyday life, however, it is unlikely that such marginal differences in application load times will ever be noticed - unless for some reason you have both a Pixel 6 Pro and an iPhone 13 Pro Max and use both at the same time to do exactly the same thing. We believe that Google bringing its mobile phone so close to the beast of Apple is not a trivial matter and shows that the company has laid a good foundation for the future.
