Honor 80 GT debuts Snapdragon 8+ Gen1
There are only four days left until the end of this year, but even in such a short time you can still get a lot done. For example, introduce a new phone. The Honor brand caught on to this vision and presented the new Honor 80 GT model exactly as planned . This new machine thus expanded the numbered series 80, in which the first three phones debuted about a month ago . And it could be said that the manufacturer saved the best of them for last. It is a phone with a very decent performance and an interesting design.
HONOR 80 GT DESIGN AND DISPLAY
Since the Honor 80 GT is geared towards gaming phones, it has a different design than other phones in the range. Its display is flat, as is the back panel. The main camera module is larger and rectangular. It is divided in half, where in the upper part we see two sensors and in the lower part one sensor and LED flash. At the waist, the phone is only 7.9 mm and weighs only 187 grams.
The display is an OLED type with a diagonal of 6.67 inches, a resolution of 2400 × 1080 pixels and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The screen supports 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, 300 Hz sampling rate, up to 1400 nits brightness and 2160 Hz PWM dimming.
OTHER SPECIFICATIONS
The Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 processor with the Adreno 730 GPU provided the Honor 80 GT with a very decent performance for gaming. The manufacturer also added an independent display chip that increases the frame rate by up to 100% and at the same time reduces energy consumption by 25%. As for memories, there is 12 GB and 16 GB of operational memory and 256 GB of internal storage. Connectivity is represented by 5G SA/NSA, dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ax (2.4 GHz/5 GHz), Bluetooth 5.2, GPS and USB-C. The fingerprint sensor is integrated into the display and there are also stereo speakers. The battery has a capacity of 4800 mAh and supports SuperCharge fast charging with a power of 66 W. The operating system is Android 12 with the Magic UI 7.0 superstructure.
PHOTO EQUIPMENT, PRICES AND AVAILABILITY
As already said, the main camera is triple. The primary sensor has a resolution of 54 MP and is a Sony IMX800 sensor with an aperture of f/1.9. The second, 8 MP sensor, works as a wide-angle lens, and the last 2 MP sensor is reserved for macro photography. The front 16 MP camera lies in the "hole" in the center of the upper part of the screen.
The Honor 80 GT comes in Interstellar Black, Streamer Mirror and Light Rain Meteor colors. In the Chinese market, pre-orders are already running, sales will start on January 1, 2023. The prices of individual memory versions are as follows:
- 12GB/256GB - 3299 Yuan ($472)
- 16GB/256GB - 3599 yuan ($515)
