OnePlus 12 shows off its periscopic sensor
We have moved into the second half of the year, when many smartphone manufacturers are already fully focused on their future flagships. Of course, they will start releasing them only after the introduction of the Snapdragon 8 Gen3 processor. Some, such as OnePlus, want to do it before the end of this year. Their new flagship phone will be the OnePlus 12 model, which tipsters have been telling us about for some time. We also know that it will receive improved photo equipment .
ONEPLUS 12 ON THE FIRST RENDERS
OnePlus 12's camera upgrade comes with the addition of a periscopic sensor. For fans, this is certainly a significant improvement, since OnePlus flagship phones have always had "only" a classic telephoto lens for the main camera. The periscope sensor improves zoom capabilities and captures more details. The periscopic sensor in the camera assembly has now been confirmed by the first rendered images that come from the OneLeaks designer's workshop and were exclusively published by the SmartPrix website . Apart from that, the images hinted at what the overall look of the upcoming phone is.
The appearance of the main camera module of the OnePlus 12 is very similar to that of its predecessor. There are only minor adjustments required by the use of the periscopic sensor. The two main sensors with a circular border are in the upper part of the circular module, and the lower half is dedicated to the periscopic sensor. We also see the Hasselblad inscription here, so it is clear who was involved in the optics.
The overall design is also not too different from the OnePlus 11 model. However, there are minor differences. The display is slightly curved and the “hole” for the selfie camera has now moved from the top left corner to the center. On the right edge we again find the Alert Slider and together with it the power button. The volume rocker is on the left edge. On the bottom edge is the USB-C port and the speaker grille. In the renders, the OnePlus 12 is finished in an attractive matte black color and the main camera module has a metallic sheen. According to previous reports, the OLED screen has a diagonal of 6.7 inches, a QHD+ resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate. We will also get a battery with a capacity of 5000 mAh and support for 100 W or 150 W charging. And of course we expect a Snapdragon 8 Gen3 processor.
