Technology enthusiasts are urging Google to take its pixel line seriously and develop phones that can compete with other flagship smartphones. Google has finally listened to its customers and seems to be planning to release not one but two of the flagship devices this year. Named the Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro, these devices bring all the bells and whistles we'd expect from a flagship smartphone. In addition, Google is equipping these phones with internally designed Tensor chipsets, which ensures a more robust integration of hardware and software, with the expectation of better performance and years of support. In a post published by Google on its blog, Google gave us an excerpt of the upcoming novels Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro.
Let’s start with what you immediately see when you first look at the device and its radical design. The front of the phone, like most other phones we've seen in the past, has a typical design with a mid-punch hole display, while the back panel raises some eyebrows. Instead of a camera conflict, Google has selected a camera bar that runs across the entire body of the device. There is no doubt that this design decision is highly polarizing. For what it’s worth, I like the new look. Those who were lucky enough to have a practical experience say the same thing. Therefore, if you are not a fan of rendering, we suggest waiting for the device to come out before judging. I also like the striking colors shown by the renderings. If nothing else, the phone stands out from the sea of similar-looking smartphones.
For the new Pixel 6 and 6 Pro, Google has chosen to go with its internal Tensor SoC. It's been four years since the custom-made Tensor chip was launched, according to a Twitter post by Google CEO Sunder Pichai. Tensor SOC's focus is on advancing Pixel's ML and AI capabilities. Due to the pixel grade AI and ML capabilities, the cameras have excellent performance and their real-time and voice-to-text conversion, real-time conversion and much more.
So, for Google, tensor is not just about basic numbers and GHz. And voice processing, photo enhancement and much more about creating a processor that can give Google an idea of a computer device that can do it in real time. Going forward, the Tensor chip will also come with a new security core, and according to Google, the Titan M2 will provide the most layers of hardware protection on any phone.
There is also a "always-running computer" that handles low-level, low-power processes, such as a circulating display. The result is better battery life, but we still have to wait and see because Google still promises only battery life throughout the day.
These new phones are redefining what a pixel means. Everything is better about using pixels, from the new design to the new Tensor SOC, which combines the same aesthetic aesthetics with Android 12 through software and hardware.
We also improved the rear camera system. Improved sensors and lenses are now large enough to fit the traditional square - so the new design gives the whole camera system a new home with a camera bar.
The Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro will come with enhanced camera systems. The standard Pixel 6 has a dual camera system with a wide-angle main sensor and an ultra-wide sensor, while the Pixel 6 Pro incorporates a third 4X optical-zoomed bent telephoto lens. It will be the first pixel phone to be shipped with a 6-pixel Pro 3D camera module.
Google has not released the number of megapixels in the cameras, but has said it will use a new larger lens. According to Google, the flagship wide-angle sensor emits 150 percent more light.
With enhanced hardware and the new Tensor SOC-powered computer photography, the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro are sure to deliver superior camera performance. Google showed an example of a video recording comparison between the Pixel 6, Pixel 5 and iPhone 12 at its off-camera event, which showed great improvement. As you know, pixel phones have historically been the worst in video, so this gives us hope. According to Google, the chips taken earlier were not powerful enough to apply to its computer photography video, which is not a problem with its new Tensor SoC.
The Tensor SOC and the new camera system were special moments at the show, but Google has also revealed other important specifications of the phone we list here. The average 6-pixel 6.4-inch FHD + screen has a 90Hz refresh rate. The screen is also completely flat. The Pixel 6 Pro, on the other hand, has a 6.7-inch large curved screen with QHD resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The 6 Pixel has mattress rails on all sides, while the 6 Pro has shiny aluminum rails. Both models are available in different colors. I prefer the fun colors of the Pixel 6 to the old colors of the Pixel 6 Pro, but we can not have it all, right?
Both phones come with Android 12, which includes the language in which you plan the new product. Android phones have historically supported three years of new software, while Apple has also supported six years of iPhones. With this new Tensor SoC we hope that Google will do it by itself or even longer. Apart from extending the longevity of the phone, it also helps to preserve the resale value.
