Poco M6 Pro 5G – complete overview of specifications and prices
A few days ago, the Poco brand confirmed that it will officially introduce the Poco M6 Pro 5G phone on August 5. And she fulfilled her promise. The phone debuted in India as the successor to the M4 Pro 5G and is a rebranded Chinese Redmi Note 12R phone . So let's see if and how the specifications of these two models differ.
MAIN SPECIFICATIONS OF THE POCO M6 PRO 5G PHONE
The fact that the Poco brand is a specialist in the rebranding of Redmi phones probably won't surprise anyone. The newly introduced Poco M6 Pro 5G model is the same. But it has a slightly modified design of the main camera module, where we can clearly see the Poco label. The phone is also coming to the market in a new, turquoise-green color variant. The appearance of the front panel is unchanged.
The LCD display has a diagonal of 6.79 inches, a resolution of 2460 × 1080 pixels and an adaptive refresh rate of 30 Hz to 90 Hz. The usable screen area reached 91% and the brightness reached 550 nits. The display is protected by Gorilla Glass 3.
Like the Redmi Note 12R, the Poco M6 Pro 5G is powered by a Snapdragon 4 Gen2 processor. The chipset is built on 4nm manufacturing technology. At its heart are two powerful Cortex-A78 cores with a clock speed of 2.2 GHz and six efficient Cortex-A55 cores with a clock frequency of 2.0 GHz. As for memories, 4 GB or 6 GB of operational memory and 64 GB or 128 GB of internal storage are available. And this is another difference between Redmi and Poco. Connectivity is represented by 5G SA/NSA, dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6 802.11 ac (2.4 GHz/5 GHz), Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, GLONASS, USB-C and 3.5 mm audio jack. The fingerprint sensor is located on the edge of the device and the manufacturer has also added an IR blaster.
PRICES AND AVAILABILITY
The battery of the Poco M6 Pro 5G phone has a capacity of 5000 mAh and supports fast charging with a power of 18 W. This is also the same parameters as the Chinese model Redmi Note 12R. The operating system is Android 13 with the MIUI 14 superstructure. The photo equipment consists of a front 8 MP camera with an aperture of f/2.0 and a main dual camera with 50 MP and 2 MP sensors. The second of them serves to capture the depth of field. The phone comes in Forest Green and Power Black colors. Flipkart sales start on August 9. The 4GB/64GB version costs INR 10,999 ($133) and the 6GB/128GB version costs INR 12,999 ($157).
